Luis Fernando Colunga Ramos is a Research Economist at Banco de México. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Texas at Dallas.
His research focuses on regional economics, macroeconomic dynamics, and monetary policy transmission, with particular emphasis on monetary aggregates and regional heterogeneity. His work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, the Latin American Journal of Central Banking, and the North American Journal of Economics and Finance, as well as in Banco de México Working Papers.
In addition to his research activities, he teaches Monetary Policy at Tecnológico de Monterrey and Applied Macroeconomics at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, and has previously taught at The University of Texas at Dallas.
